Latest News: March 2012

- In February 2012 Paul and six volunteers travelled to Uganda to visit the children Isaac’s House support. During the trip volunteers
fixed gutters to the orphanage to collect rain water and painted the orphanages, whilst spending time with the children. One of the volunteers described their visit to Uganda as “an inspirational trip, the children were brilliant and the charity is doing amazing work”.

- The oldest boy Isaac’s House support Junior (16) has begun secondary boarding school! In Uganda boarding school provides the best quality of education for children and Isaac’s House want to ensure all the children we support are given the best start in life! As this costs the charity extra money we are looking for another sponsor for Junior, if you would like to sponsor please email [email protected].

- One of our girls at Isaac’s House, Grace, moved into James Dunn House of Hope in March 2010 thanks to her sponsors. Grace’s mother was seriously ill and unable to care for her daughter. During Pauls trip in November the children began their two month school holidays and
Grace requested to stay with her mother during this time and over Christmas. Paul arranged for this to be possible and Grace spent Christmas with her mother. We are sure they treasured this time together. Sadly, on the 10th January 2012 Grace’s mother passed away and was buried in Soroti, North East of Uganda where she was from. Everyone at Isaac’s House send their thoughts and prayers to Grace.

- Lastly, a big thank you to everyone involved in our school bag appeal! The children at the orphanage walk 30 minutes to school each day, with lots of books to carry, so their new sturdy school bags are very much appreciated!
